November 22 The Youth Committee is in the stages of planning events that are of interest to the youth based on their feedback. Events will be posted on the youth bulliten board outside the CAT class. In the month of November, there is a video game expo being held at the Pennsylvania Convention Center in Phiadelpia. The date is November 22, 2008 and the cost for the event is $15.00 plus transportation. Please see the bulletin board for additional information. THANKSGIVING DINNER OUTREACH PROJECT The Social Ministry Communittee of Hope is providing 15 Thanksgiving dinners to local families in need. The dinners will consist of: Main Entree: turkey Vegetable ideas: green beans, corn, sweet potatoes, peas, cranberry sauce Bread and Rolls Dessets: cake mixes, pie filling, frozen pie crusts If you would like to donate any of the items please drop them in the box in the Nartahex or see Sheila Guldin 610-682-7307. Your generosity is greatly appreciated! ADVENT FAMILY NIGHT Sunday Nov. 30th 5:00pm Come out to make an Advent wreath and enjoy an evening filled with fun and prizes. A ot dog and fixin's bar with side salads and drinks will be available. Please bring a dessert to share with the group. Folks planning to attend may sign-in on the sheet on the bulletin board. For further information contact Susie Kunkel. CHRISTMAS TEA Dec. 7th at 2:30pm will be our annual tea with entertainment by The New Earth Band. The group plays Country Gospel music with just a bit of that saw-tooth edge. All are invited. DECEMBER 8th The Women of Hope will be at Renninger's Market in Kutztown selling Christmas Cookies. Come out and visit our stand for some tasty treats to get you in the holiday spirit. The cost is $6.00 per pound with proceeds going to the purchase of Christmas gifts the Hope Church unit at the Hamburg Center and for those needing assistance in the community. Donations can be dropped off at the church by Friday Evening, Dec. 7th or off on the 8th at the stand at Renninger's. KUTZTOWN COMMUNITY CHOIR ANNUAL CHRISTMAS CONCERT The 42nd annual Christmas concert will be presented on Sunday Dec. 14th at 3:00pm at the Trinity Lutheran Church, 357 West Main Street, Kutztown. LIVE FROM BETHLEHEM December 21st at 4pm. Experience "The Christmas Story" from the perspective of news reporters! For practice schedule see Karen Marquette or Angie Federick. COFFEE HOUSE FOR YOUTH IN HIGH SCHOOL THROUGH COLLEGE 9-10:00am on the FIRST Sunday of each month! Coffee, tea, hot chocolate, juice, ice tea--and the FOOD...all the goods are FREE! This is a casual get together--no usual Sunday School stuff--come sit around and talk about whatever floats your boat! We are meeting in the FORMER PRIMARY CLASS ROOM.
